Distance Learning & Instructional Technology

Mission

The mission of the Office of Distance Learning and Instructional Technology (DLIT) is to provide vision, leadership, and faculty support in the development of quality online and hybrid courses and programs and the integration of innovative instructional technologies that effectively promote student engagement and support teaching and learning.

We partner with UNT Dallas faculty, departments, and administration in the creation, design and delivery of high-quality learning experiences by supporting the use of instructional technologies for classroom, online and hybrid courses focusing on best practices, standards and researched based methods for instructional technology integration and instructional design.


Fall 2021 Office Hours

The Office of Distance Learning & Instructional Technology will be operating with an on-campus presence 3 days per week, starting the week of August 9th, for the Fall 2021 semester:

DLIT Return 2 Campus Fall 2021 Office Hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Mon & Fri Remote Only. Tue, Wed, & Thu In-Person & Remote. Virtual Open Lab - Mon & Wed. Schedule at https://bit.ly/DLITVirtualLab. In-Person Open Lab - Thu. Schedule at https://bit.ly/DLITOpenLab.

  • Monday: Remote (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
  • Tuesday: In-Person & Remote (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
  • Wednesday: In-Person & Remote (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
  • Thursday: In-Person & Remote (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
  • Friday: Remote (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

Mondays & Fridays: Remote Support

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays: In-Person Support and Remote Support
DLIT staff will work on a rotating basis to support on-campus support in addition to remote support 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Knowledge Base Resource Search

The Office of Distance Learning and Instructional Technology (DLIT) is pleased to announce the launch of a Resource Search Tool which allows users to quickly search all of the digital resources DLIT has created, curated, and collected in its ever-expanding knowledge base.
